Displaced Motoco Members ("the App") is a private membership application for members of Displaced Motoco, a motorcycle garage and community in Brooklyn, New York. This policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and your rights regarding your data.
The App uses your device's location to detect when you arrive at or leave the garage. We use a geofence — a defined boundary around the garage address — to trigger automatic check-in and check-out events. Your raw GPS coordinates are never transmitted to or stored on our servers. We record only whether you are currently present and the timestamp of your most recent arrival. You can disable location access at any time from iOS Settings, or pause check-in for 12 hours from within the App.
You may provide a display name, first and last name, phone number, mailing address, primary motorcycle description, and a profile photo. This information is used to identify you to other club members and for club administration. It is visible to other authenticated members of the club.
If you choose to upload a profile photo, the image is stored on our servers and displayed to other members as your avatar. The App accesses your camera and photo library only when you explicitly initiate a photo upload. No images are accessed or transmitted for any other purpose.
When you add charges to your bar tab, we store the item name, category, quantity, price, and timestamp. When you settle your tab using Apple Pay, payment is processed by Square. We never store, see, or have access to your payment card details. We receive a payment confirmation reference and receipt URL from Square, which we store for your records and club accounting purposes.
We store your vehicle lift bookings including lift number, start time, end time, and status, in order to manage the shared reservation schedule across all members.
Login credentials are verified against our backend. We issue access tokens and refresh tokens that are stored exclusively in the iOS Keychain — an encrypted, hardware-backed secure store on your device. Tokens are never written to iCloud, UserDefaults, or any other location accessible outside the Keychain.
We do not use your information for advertising, marketing, or behavioral analytics. We do not use third-party analytics SDKs, ad networks, or tracking frameworks.
We do not sell or rent your personal information. We share data only in these limited cases:
We retain your profile information and membership data for as long as your account is active. Bar tab history is retained for club accounting purposes. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time from within the App (Settings → Delete Account). Upon deletion, your personal information is permanently removed from our servers.
The App is intended for adults 17 and older and is restricted to approved club members. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 17.
We may update this policy from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects when it was last revised. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
